Didn't see it on my last trip there but like the thought of me and hubby leaving a 'love padlock' on said bridge when we're there next week celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. Thanks

The Staalmeestersbrug bridge, a white-painted wooden drawbridge built in the 1920s located in the heart of Central Amsterdam, crosses the Groenburgwal canal. With the beautiful Zuiderkerk tower in the background, it's quite a popular spot for pictures. After Paris, now Amsterdam also has two locations where romantic couples leave their love locks on classic Dutch drawbridges.

Love bridge From eternal love it is easy to jump to one of the smallest bridges in the city, which is often used for wedding proposals and wedding photoshoots. The Liefdesbruggetje, number 172, spans across a the drainage system in Sarphatipark. No boats pass underneath it but plenty of people cross it on foot.
